The iconic Las Vegas Strip is arguably the most famous street in the world. When people think of it, the first thing that comes to mind is glitz and glamor. Jaw-dropping casinos and fabulous nightclub acts are on the must-see list. But, for people in the know, retail therapy is the best reason for visiting Las Vegas.

Unlike the rest of the world, shopping in Las Vegas is an extravagant experience. Lining The Las Vegas Strip are high-end boutiques and stunning shopping destinations. The strip mall in your hometown can’t compete with shopping centers like the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian. It’s decorated to resemble the city of Venice and even has gondolas.

But this utter extravagance makes Las Vegas such a special place. The bright lights and spectacular scenery is why we keep returning to this magical city. Plus, the shopping is to die for. Many of the stores are high-end luxury retailers, but there are a surprising number of affordable stores and outlets. You will look like you shopped at Gucci without your credit card melting in the card reader.

Via Bellagio Las Vegas

Via Bellagio. For sheer opulence and atmosphere, Via Bellagio can’t be beat. When you first drive up you are greeted by the Fountains of Bellagio, a choreographed fountain that takes your breath away. Once inside the Bellagio Hotel, you will experience luxury beyond your wildest imaginings. Palatial walkways and high ceilings with natural light is the height of chic.

You can easily spend your annual salary in one afternoon. Some better known boutiques and shops include Armani, Chanel, Harry Winston and Dior. Alongside the exceptional shops there are restaurants, like Spago and Jasmine. There is also a luxurious spa and an art gallery. Even if you’ve put your credit cards on lockdown, walking through Via Bellagio is well worth your time.

The Shops at Crystals

The Shops at Crystals is a luxury retail is the name of the game at The Shops at Crystals. It houses over 50 unique brands that most of us only read about in magazines but never see in person. It lies near the center of The Las Vegas Strip, and the building itself is an excellent example of contemporary architecture.

Be prepared to spend because nothing comes cheap at this shopping mall. Here you will find Prada, Tom Ford, Lanvin and Sisley Paris. After you’ve splurged on the most coveted clothes and cosmetics in the world, be sure to eat at one of the many delicious restaurants. Las Vegas Premium Outlets - North

Las Vegas North Premium Outlets Mall is an outlet you don't want to miss, an epic 540,000-square-foot shopping mall located near Downtown Las Vegas. Do you have champagne tastes but a beer budget? Look no further than Las Vegas North Premium outlets. It has 175 stores that sell high-end fashion for less. Here you will find the outlet stores for Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Dolce & Gabbana and Tory Burch.

Las Vegas South Premium Outlets, even larger than its sister outlet mall, wear comfortable shoes while walking this enormous shopping center. It is loaded with designer outlets, restaurants and even an indoor carousel. Polo Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, and Tommy Hilfiger sell their expensive clothing and accessories at deep discounts. You will leave here loaded down with shopping bags, but your bank balance will still be intact.

Downtown Container Park

Downtown Container Park located next to the Fremont Street Experience in Downtown Las Vegas. Looking for local or quirky items instead of international designer brands? If so, you will love the Downtown Container Park. Built from shipping containers and other locally sourced materials, it is hip, modern and cool. This shopping area is an outdoor mall, and not only are the boutiques worth going to, but the people watching is fabulous.

If you bring the kids, there is an excellent play area for them. Children and adults also love The Dome. It’s a unique, animated visual experience that surrounds you with millions of pixels of light. The stores are always changing, but it usually has handcrafted local jewelry and clothing, art galleries and tattoo artists. Like most shopping areas, they have wonderful restaurants. Check out Oak & Ivy. It’s a popular whiskey bar with incredible food.

Miracle Mile Shops

Las Vegas is all about entertainment, and Miracle Mile Shops doesn’t disappoint. Alongside 200 stores and eateries, there is an assortment of live entertainment. For a laugh out loud marvelous time, catch a show at the Las Vegas Live Comedy Club. Kids love the Popovich Comedy Pet Theater. If you left the children at home, check out Zombie Burlesque or go to The Showgirl Bootcamp.

The Forum Shops at Caesars

Nothing beats a day strolling through The Forum Shops at Caesars. Enjoy talking statues, enormous fish aquariums and some of the chicest stores in the world. It is 175,000 square feet of retail delight, and it is over the top in all the right ways. Be sure to head up to the third floor and ride one of the few spiral escalators in the world.

Straight from the runways of Paris and Milan, revel in the fabulousness of Gucci, Versace, Salvatore Ferragamo and Louis Vuitton. They also have stores that fit any sized budget. Pocket book friendly H&M has mannequins hanging from the ceilings, cheery colors and hip music. It’s a bargain hunter's dream store. Plus, you can explore The Gap, Guess and Banana Republic.

By the end of the day, most people have worked up an appetite. Grab a bite to eat at Planet Hollywood while surrounded by movie memorabilia. If you crave Italian, try II Mulino New York. The food is exquisite and they have a private balcony with an amazing view of The Las Vegas Strip.

One of the best outdoor malls in Las Vegas for shopping. Located directly in the heart of Las Vegas on The Strip is a open-air shopping, dining and entertainment center. One of the most popular & biggest indoor mall in Las Vegas Strip. At over 2 million square feet, Fashion Show is one of the largest shopping malls in the United States. Grand Bazaar Shops at Bally’s Las Vegas is smack dab in the center of The Strip is this fabulous outdoor mall. It is the perfect place to window shop, and people watch too. It has numerous boutiques from smaller names in fashion. These include the Japanese lifestyle brand Superdry, and the luxe men’s apparel shop Lindbergh.

Where Grand Bazaar really shines is the choice of restaurants. Whatever you are hungry for, you will find it here. Dine on authentic ramen noodles at Ramen-Ya. If you want an all-American burger try the Mark and Donnie Wahlberg owned Wahlburgers. Afterward, enjoy ice cream for dessert at Ben & Jerry’s.

LINQ Promenade

A totally unique experience, the LINQ Promenade is a dazzling retail and entertainment complex. At the center of it all is the High Roller. It is a 550 foot tall observation wheel that gives you amazing views of the Las Vegas valley. Brooklyn Bowl is a 2,000 seat music venue that always features popular acts. If you plan on getting married in Las Vegas, book your bachelor/bachelorette party at Brooklyn Bowl for a night you won’t forget.

Shopping in Las Vegas isn’t complete without a visit to LINQ. A new Harley Davidson store just opened its doors, and Pier 30 is the place to find chic hipster fashions. Be sure to check out the delicious food at Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar and eat chocolate at Ghirardelli.

In between Mandalay Bay Casino and Luxor is a sky bridge with 40 wonderful shops. Though it is smaller than many of the gigantic shopping malls in Vegas, people love it because it’s cozy and different. Several of the boutiques are exclusive to The Shoppes at Mandalay Place, making it a unique shopping experience in Las Vegas. Chapel Hats and Elton’s Men’s Store are two examples. They sell wonderful accessories and clothing you won’t find anywhere else.

While you are there, down a chilly cocktail at Minus-5. You will be given a parka to wear by the staff, and then you are escorted into a -23 degree room. It is filled with ice sculptures, and your drink comes in a glass made of frozen ice water.

One of the most popular malls in Las Vegas is the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Las Vegas. Shopping is a delight at the Grand Canal Shoppes. It is also on the pricey side, but well worth a visit. The mall is connected to two hotels, The Venetian and The Palazzo. It has all of the amenities you could ever wish for. This includes a personal shopper service, valet parking and gondola rides. Yes, you read that right. Imagine riding in a gondola while deciding which of the 160 stores and restaurants you wish to go to. Before you leave, make sure to check out the waterfall atrium. It is out of this world.

The luxury fashion brands are the real stars of the show. Pick out a new pair of heels at Jimmy Choo, and then find a purse to match at Fendi. Need a gown for a night on the town? You’ll find something at Michael Kors or Burberry. If you need your makeup touched up go to Sephora or the MAC counter.

There are several fabulous restaurants to choose from. Wolfgang Puck delights us all with his eatery CUT. Delmonico Steakhouse is famous for its sirloin steaks, and Grimaldi’s Coal Brick Oven Pizzeria has the best pizza in Vegas.

Downtown Summerlin

Best outdoor mall in Summerlin. Next door to the Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa is 1.6 million square feet of retail heaven. Downtown Summerlin is an outdoor entertainment venue with 125 shops, restaurants and a movie theater. It was originally conceived by Howard Hughes back in the 1960s, and was meant to be a planned community. They hope to build housing there soon.

There are plenty of budget-friendly options at Downtown Summerlin such as Nordstrom Rack, Forever 21 and Old Navy. They also boast designer boutiques by Ralph Lauren and Michael Kors. One of the most popular stores is Sur La Table, which has everything your inner gourmet cook could ever want. After you are done shopping, enjoy surf and turf at Andiron Steak & Sea, or grab a burger at Red Robin.

For five decades the Boulevard Mall has been a shopping destination for both residents and tourists alike. It is around 1 million square feet and is a mixture of unique shops, eateries, and entertainment. One of the best things about Boulevard Mall is the Mercado.

This one-of-a-kind market is filled with local goods and foods. Many of the items are handcrafted and multicultural. There are mall favorites as far as dining choices go. Applebee’s and California Burrito are popular destinations. There are also quite a few salons and cosmetics stores.

36 miles away from The Strip is the Fashion Outlets of Las Vegas. It might seem like a hike, but it is well worth the drive if you want to save serious bucks on designer clothing. It is on the border of California, and it is the perfect place to pick up a new outfit before you hit The Strip.

Find the perfect handbag or purse at Kate Spade, DKNY, Kenneth Cole, or Coach. There are great options for the guys too. The Lacoste and Hollister outlets are two of the most popular. Savings over retail prices average around 75%, making it one of the best Las Vegas outlets.

After you’ve finished shopping, grab a bite to eat at Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen, or get a Hot Dog on a Stick. If you decide to hang out for a while, ride the amusement park rides next door at Buffalo Bill’s.

Shopping Beyond The Malls

Las Vegas has amazing malls and restaurants, but there is more to shopping in Vegas. Its the one-of-a-kind boutiques you find outside of the mega-malls that appeals to many shoppers. For example, Refinery Celebrity Resale Boutique is an absolute gem. They sell gently used designer clothing, including pieces worn by real celebrities. If you don’t want to fork out $600 on a pair of Prada heels, go to Refinery.

Rainbow Feather Company is a genuine Vegas-only shopping experience. This is a boutique that sells feathers to Las Vegas showgirls. It’s perfect if you are in the market for a new feather boa. Viva Hollywood is the home of fabulous vintage furniture. They have fun pieces from Hollywood sets, and a clientele list filled with A-listers.

Shopping in Las Vegas is the best in the world. From off the beaten track boutiques and outlets, to chic Parisian designers. The next time you come to Vegas, bring an empty suitcase. You will need it.
